mimi k

so glad to hear that everything is all right :-)

I just read in this morning's paper about your earthquake yesterday, and had to come here to see if all was well with you - thanks so much for posting, I'm sure there are many, many, many of us whose thoughts turned to you when the news was heard.

Glad to hear that you managed to get by fairly unscathed. I know a boring day was not what you had planned on, but it comparison to some of the damage I've heard of, I know you were thrilled to just be bored!

Gina

I heard about it on the news this morning, Glad to hear that you and your family are OK.

Delly Bean

Glad to see you made it through okay. I thought of you as soon as I heard about it, and I'm pretty much just a lurker.

Amanda

Glad to hear you're ok! I guess a "practice" quake can be a good thing, since the previous one helped you to be calm this time!

i am glad to see your post today too, was thinking about you since hearing of the quake. it is good to hear that you are well.

Melissa

I'm so glad you're all right. I was thinking of you when I heard as well.

Tracy

Check here is the first thing coming to my mind when I read the news. Glad to see you are alright.:)

I am considering to do some knitting lately....hmm....but I dont have knitting needles and too lazy to get a pair. :-P

Bettsi

You were the first person I thought of when I heard the news. Glad you are all okay! Time to learn how to knit! There are only two stitches you need to learn (knit and purl) and you can make scarves and hats every gloomy day!

Passions & Distractions

I'm so glad to know that everyone is ok (although there has been some property damage). I hope that's the last of it for a while!!!!

tania

phew! i was worried about you over there! glad it was pretty minor for you-

Hi, glad to hear you weathered the quake ok. I was on Maui at the time and at first I thought it was strong winds rattling our window (it was breezy that morning). When the actual shaking of the house occured we started to freak out. Instead of running for the nearest doorway to stand under I ran towards my mom's dog to try and calm her since she was freaking out!

Anyway, I came back to Oahu at 7:30 and was really disappointed that the power was still out (Maui recovered around 12 noon).

It's amazing how dependent we are on electricity, almost to a scary point. I guess the biggest thing that bothered me was the lack of water. I live in an apartment building so I guess we have electric pumps that pump wateer to our building. No water for hours is not fun!

that it soo scary! glad you are ok though! yikes!

So glad to hear you're okay - I thought of you when I heard about it on CNN. I hope everything gets back to normal soon!

Stephanie

I'm glad to hear you and your family made it through safely!

shula

I was thinking of you all day, after I heard about this on the morning news.

Glad to hear that everything is (more or less) okay.

Leta

I checked your blog as soon as I read about the quake. SO glad to hear you are all ok!

Jan

Glad to hear you weathered the storm, so to speak. I was thinking of you all evening as the news was trickling in.

emily

it was a good day to knit. I live on the leeward side, so I didn't really feel the one back in August. But I was so confused on Sunday! I wasn't sure if I was dreaming or not, it was so surreal! I know that we are all happy that there was no injuries or tsunamis.

PaMdora

Glad to hear that you are okay, I have a friend who is in Hawaii right now too. Kind of scarey though!

Knitting is a great way to pass the time! I also have family there and heard it was a little difficult without power. I'm sorry to hear that your in-laws lost a lot in the earthquake.
