It's a couple of days late but here's a rooster I made for new years. I modified the duck pattern from this book "Small Stuffed Animals".
I wanted to use wool felt but the acrylic stuff is the only felt available in Hawaii. Ever since Hillary at Wee Wonderfuls used some thrift store angora sweaters and felted them in the dryer to make Buttercup and Sunshine, I've been dying to try that too. Looks like a trip to Savers and Goodwill is on the list for this weekend. Cluck!
He's adorable and right suited for this week's Illustration Friday theme!

Okay, I know this is an old post, but OMG! That rooster is the cutest little thing in the whole world! I really, really love him and now I know that I MUST buy some Japanese craft books!

I know I'm pretty late on posting here. But I just ran across your blog and I am in love with all your little felt guys. Especially this cute rooster.
Do you think that one could make some of the things from the Japanese craft mags if they don't read Japanese?
Everything in those mags you show are just adorable.

What an adorable rooster. Do you think I could have the pattern as you said you adjusted it. I don't read japanese and am willing to pay a small fee for this pattern. Just email me with the details. Love your site!
