I believe the Christmas crafting rush is winding down around here. There's still some shopping left to do, and I have one more project I hope to tackle this weekend, but for the most part I'm done. Well, there still are a lot of unfinished projects, but rather than drive myself crazy trying to finish it all, I've moved them to the 2007 project list instead.
If you're done with your list as well, you really should check out the Kim Family Auction site. As many of you already know, Lisa and Stephanie of Bird in the hand and Little Birds and their mother Gerrie have organized a fine art + craft auction to benefit the family of James Kim. There are over 40 different artists contributing items for an auction that runs from January 3rd through January 7th, with 100% of the proceeds going to the family. It's going to be an amazing event and I'm so glad to participate. They've already begun listing some of the items so go check it out.
Oops, almost forgot. The ornaments were made by our resident 5 year old ceramicist. He takes ceramics once a week at school and it's by far his favorite class. I was floored when he brought these home yesterday. Sorry to gush, but aren't they terrific? I'm not so crazy about the photo however. I thought this very sweet 12 days of Christmas fabric I got the other day would make a nice background, unfortunately it's a bit too busy. But no time for a re-shoot as there's still baking and wrapping to do.
Merry Christmas everyone! And peace and joy to you and yours during this holiday season. I'll see you all next week.
