Um, have I mentioned that it's hot here in Las Vegas? But I'm not complaining, no not me. I complained about having to do field work under nice Hawaiian skies and then I come to Vegas and it's record setting heat. So then I complained about the high heat and today the air conditioning in the training room went out. The obvious lesson for me is to be careful what I complain about. So I'm really really hoping that when I return home Mr. T hasn't made a crafting/sewing space for me. That would just suck! Or worse yet, there better not be a puppy when I get back, cause that would be awful.
But I don't want to give the impression that I haven't been enjoying Las Vegas. Actually, I think I've acclimated a bit, 'cause it felt a lot cooler today even though it was still above 110. And I went to Trader Joe's! Why, oh why, do they not have Trader Joe's in Hawaii? I love that store so much.
And since the monkey got to spend another day in air conditioned comfort, I put him to work and had him make a little bag. He's a little slow with the hand sewing and he still has to add names under the girl and boy. Back to work monkey!

the bag is adorable! i hope it doesn't become part of a whole gallery of bags like that! that would be awful! :)

I wish I had a monkey to do my work. I'd get a lot more done that way.

Is your monkey for hire?!? that bag is so amazing... I bet that little monkey came up with those cute faces all by himself, right? Fantastic!

Wow, I too want the little monkey to come over and perfectly embroider adorable faces on my bags!
I really don't think I could live without Trader Joe's.

Can I send my bag over for the monkey to work on as well???? The bag could be full of trader joe bannan chips to spoil the monkey while working and a Hello Kitty portable fan just incase she gets to hot.
I always love looking at your work, it is always so amazingly cool.

My favorite part is the shashiko borders. The flowery fabric is really pretty, too!
