Thanks so much for all the guesses to my $20 Thrift Challenge contest. I'll take guesses up until Wednesday the 29th and then reveal what I bought and the winner on Thursday. I'm so excited to start thrifting this weekend!
Here's a wee amigurumi finger puppet I made last night. I made it up as I went along - I call it 'freestyle amiguming'. I was contemplating what to use for the eyes when I suddenly remembered some half round eyes I have from pompom doll making in elementary school. Sheesh, do I ever throw anything away? Since I used wool yarn, they glued on so nicely and were much easier to position than if I had sewed on beads. Yeah! I just hope I can find more at the local craft store.
I was supposed to have two finger puppets to share but Mochi the cat kept stage diving off the coffee table onto my yarn and then at one point beat the hell out of it, which was my cue to go to bed. Happy weekend everyone!

I think that might have been Mochi's cue to stop working on a dog and start making a kitty-cat instead! :oD

My god I laughed out loud when I saw that doggie. It's very cute. One craft I don't touch - yarn. You're awesome.

positively adorable. Mochi sounds like s/he would like a toy of his/her own! My cat likes to help with my yarn craft by taking the free end of the yarn for a walk :) happy thrifting this weekend :)

Hey, that is a cute puppy! Just remember if you are giving it away to somebody very small, glued eyes is not too safe for toddlers as sewn on bite and lick kind of eyes. ;-)
I'm crocheting like hell over here too! ;-) And goint thrift hunging today! Hurray!
