It was a nice relaxing weekend, and I finally had some spare moments to consider projects from my new craft books. In keeping with last weeks Girl's Day and kokeshi doll posting, I decided to make this kimono clad girl from this felt book.
Doing her hair was a nightmare. How exactly does one "style" squeaky acrylic yarn? I tried wetting it - the water just rolled right off. I tried using some glue - the squeaky felt and the squeaky yarn refused to stick. I even considered hair spray. After almost in hour I somehow managed to get it sort of under control. It's a good thing I have a son, poor Buddy would be walking around with some messed up hair.

Her hair came out great, especially considering all the pain and agony you had to go through! And the rest of her is adorable as well! Love the pinwheel!

She is so cute! That book looks like it'd be right up my alley - I'm addicted to felt! Love all the things you've created, very glad I finally got linked through to your site so I can see your cute crafts! :)

I think she's adorable! I love the pinwheel accessory! Accessories *do* make the girl...
